New Fibreglass Rock

ive been down to my local garden centres fish dep to buy a fibreglass rock,ive washed it lots of times with hot water but it still smells strongly a bit like glue/plastic.is their anything i can do to get rid of the smell?
it is supposed to be for fish tanks but im now not sure i want to risk it,do you think it would be ok?.

i once bought one of those fiberglass mangrove root things. that smelt strongly of plastic/glue, just like your rock does. i took it back and got refunded. shop took it back willingly and said they wouldnt have used it either.
