Last night my neighbor's son brought me a drinking glass that had an ADF and an albino cory in it. His mother told him to get rid of them since he isn't taking care of them. I've seen his tank. It's surprising that there was anything alive in there. The tank was covered in green algae with water so dark a green you couldn't see anything. THe mother told me she doesn't know when the last time was they were fed. I was a miracle that they were able to survive. They are now in my quarantine tank and I am off to the Invertebrates forum to find out how to care for the poor thing.

Awww! Good luck nursing the two to health. You will absolutely adore your ADF (and the cory too :D )

Oddly enough, I got mine in a drinking glass too, but a little different. My boyfriend had bought a HUGE champagne glass style vase, and put the ADF in there as a surprise for me when I came home because he knew I wanted one. They are so entertaining, such personality! You will really enjoy him!

As for taking care of him- we feed frozen brine shrimp every other day- we put it in a straw and direct it towards him because otherwise the other fish will be all over it. He also gets sinking wafers.

Good luck!

Thanks. My little girl has already named it. She calls it Fungus because it's old home was green. The little sucker chirps and had my son going nuts looking for the cricket.

Have a word with Inchworm, she's an expert on both corys and ADF's ;)
