A few days ago a new long awaited Cory description was published. The new species is Corydoras longipinnis Knaack, 2007

The species has been around for a number of years, although it has only recently been more abundant in the hobby. It was known as C. sp long finned paleatus (Not to be confused with the long straggly finned artificially produced variety) and was issued with the CW-number CW003. It is only the males which show the long dorsal and pectoral fins.

I have some that have fins like that. I just thought it was the same as some being darker than others... just one of those things that happens.
The ones that I have with the really long fins are a lot more shy. They run and hide when we get close to the tank.

Very nice, Ian. You know I like long fins! B) :D I remember you posting a picture once before. :hey:

I know its probably not the same. But I have 1 pepper that has a very large fin compared to the others. Similar to the Corydoras longipinnis. Awesome pic as always Ian
