I just got 2 bumblebee gobies - they were handed in to a Pets at home to be rehomed, and so were a complete impulse purchase on my part. They were in fresh water so that's what I've put them in. However, i know they should be in brackish so i got them their own tank so i can switch it. They look fine at the moment - they are eating well, they have good colour, they are very active, I'm not sure how old they might be, they're about 1.75cm long.

How quickly should i switch them to brackish - over a couple of weeks, months etc? I know that i need to use marine salt and that the final SG should be 1.005.

Oh, and btw - they are soooo cute!! They really look like bumblebees - they stick to a surface then buzz off madly and stick somewhere else. Poor blighters are getting sick of me staring at them and telling them how cute they are!

start adding a few tablespoons of marine salt every day until you get to the right salinity.

I've had 6 for a little over a year, an none are bigger then 2cm. They love blood worms. and yes they are cute, they can also be aggressive towards each other over territory, but nothing to worry about!
