New Bogwood Covered In White Slimy Stuff

i put a piece of bogwood in my new cockatoo breeding tank,i boiled it and scrubbed it before i put it in,now its covered in this white slimy stuff,any ideas what it can be and is it harmful to my fish?

you can take it out again if you want and give it a blast under the shower to get it off its not harmfull to the fish though and will go on its own over time

i hade it, very unsightly but over time it does go

Yeah it should go away by itself. I'm not sure what it is exactly, but we had this happen with our wood. It looks awful, but it does eventually go away.

had the wood out now 3 times and boiled it,but it is still returning,looks horrible
