New Betta Question

hi i bought a new betta yesterday. i have him separated on his own in my tank. but he is constantly swimming back and forth pressing his face against the glass as tho he thinks he can swim through? he doesnt seem to settle? is this normal?

Yes it's normal. He's in a new home so he's going to be anxious for a little while. If you only got him yesterday he won't have settled yet. Give him another day or two. As long as he's active ( very from what you describe!! ) and eats well, there should be no problem .

I agree, it seems that bettas especially are quite skittish. The main hurdle you need to overcome is getting him/her to eat. Sont panic to much if he/she doesnt eat at all for a couple of days.
