Hello again. i have just had my a fleuval roma 200 aquarium delivered. i've set it all up and will start a fishless cycle tomorrow, but my questin is about condesation.

It came with everything included except a condesation tray, claiming that the provided screw on rubber rings placed over the lighting tubes connectors would suffice. to me this seems unsafe especially as i will only be using 1 of the 2 available lighting slots so that the aquarium is a darker environment. Advice appreciated and many thanks,

Gary

hmmm, I dont know about just using one light strip, I take it you wont be having any plants?

with two tubes though it will be fine with condensation

Yeah, I agree with the above. It's same with the Juwel tanks, the bulbs are all sealed away and "splash" resistant. I would assume that this would only work if there were bulbs actually plugged in. Are you able to "twist" them so turn them off, without actually removing them? I would be concerned that removing the blub my void the warranty.

I believe that you can actually buy condensation trays to fit most sizes but you're best going to ur LSF and see what they have.

thansk both for some peace of mind. G-d know how old my existing aquariums are and things have changed quite bit. i'll just put in the other bulb in and have to live with it. The bulb required attaching anyway so no warrenty issues there. im going to leave it to dry out for a little while before i attach the 2nd bulb and run the light though as im not great with electricity!
Thanks again
gary
