I recently had a fish pass because regretfully I wasn't caring for him properly. I didn't even know how much I liked fish until it broke my heart and I decided check out TFF to read up on what I did wrong. I fixed everything I was slipping on and now I have two happy albino cory catfish, two bala sharks, a chinese algae eater, and a really rad golden dojo loach (weather loach). I couldn't have done it myself, thank you all for all of the useful comments and commitment to your little babies!

Hi!
What size is your tank?

Sorry for being such a wet sandwich on your first post

haha was gonna ask the same thing!!!!

Bala sharks cannot live in pairs as it can be quite stressfull. they grow to 14 inches in size and like to live in big groups (5-6) a nice tank for them is a 225 gallon fish tank with open swimming space. These fish like to eat bloodworms and veggie fish flakes.

Golden dojo loaches grow to 10 inches and also need big tanks (50 gallons) these loaches love to dig and tanks need lots of sand to properly house them. they also like to jump out of the tank so keep a tightly closed lid. they like to eat snails so be sure to supply that!

cory cats grow to 2-3 inches and because they are schooling fish they also cannot live in pairs as it is very stressfull for them. groups of 6 is a ideal number. they need a nice and roomy 30 gallon tank. they like to eat bloodworms and sinking loach pellets.

chinese algae eaters can grow to 12 inches and are notoriously bad tankmates. when young they are nice and cute little algae eating fish. But when reaching maturity if not properly fed meaty foods and vegtable matter, they will start harrasing tankmates, sometimes to the point of sucking tankmate's slime coats off!! I would just return them. trust me, ive had this problem.

Sorry for being so mean to you and your fish

I had a 20 gallon and just upgraded to a 40 gallon. They're all babies for the time being, so I will continue to get bigger tanks as they grow, I just don't have the funds for it all right now.
