Yesterday, I bought a new guppy to go in my 10 gallon with my other two males and two females (whom I got together two months ago). He looks to be a young adolescent, with a beautiful tail, that's bound to only get longer with age. In the store, as I watched him, he seemed peaceful while swimming around and minding his own business. Now though, he seems to be chasing my previously dominant male (a fantail cobra, who just so happens to be twice his size). He doesn't quite seem aggressive, unless he's trying to nip the bottom fins, but seems rather trying to mate with the dominant male. Any ideas, experience? Also, do you think it'll stop with time? (Really, he doesn't care about the other three fish, or the Oto in the tank)

It would help to increase the ratio of females to male. I like to have at least 4 females to 1 male.

Your new male is rising to a bit of competition for the ladies. :hey:

Welcome to the forum trumpetfish.

He is young and may not have learned the difference yet. A male guppy will display at almost anything. It is not a problem.
