New Additions

Hi, Got 6 new additions for my tank in the form of Otocinclus, hopefully they will give a little algae control i still get a little brown stuff
there busy little thing been on my cryps munching away for the last day here is a quick photo not the easiest of fish to photo even though they was sat still
carnt wait to get a macro lens for the canon so much sharper...

they have been in 24hrs so far and all looks well, im going to get some small algae wafers i was wondering how many you would advice to feed them and how often
same as cucumber or courgette...

I feed mine 2-3 for 5 ottos of algae wafers every 2 days, nice looking fish

2-3 how long do they take to eat them ?
what about veg do you put that in ?

My oto's (lost them all unfortunately ) would never touch algae wafers but they did like courgette once they got used to it.

They are hard to keep fish but if your tank is well established with plenty of slime and algae they should be fine.

I used to have one that would float upside down on the top of the water. The first time it did it I thought it was dead but it carried on and was good fun to watch!

I miss those lil guys

they can be tricky to keep, i lost one right away as soon as it went in i new so took it back to LFS today, when you take back they ask you to bring in some water
np mine is ok and there test said the same so replaced the fish and all are now happy touch wood...
