Well, after over a month of sitting in my living room, my 240 litre tank has finished its fishless cycle, had a scape and welcomed its first inhabitants. I did a 90% water change yesterday to reduce the nitrates and was pleasantly suprised with how much cleaner the water looked afterwards - a build up of tanins that I hadn't really noticed as it happened gradually. Here is a full tank shot:
I managed to find two Geophagus sp Tapajos and 12 Columbian Tetras from a guy on a different forum. He has a pair of geos who have already spawned once and wanted a less busy tank.
Here are the male and what appears to be a female acclimatising:


I left them alone for a few hours and then turned the lights on for some pictures. They have coloured up quite well and are already keen to get out and about.



Today I am picking up second external filter for the tank and also a rotkeil sev from Star so there will be more pics shortly
