Looks great! Thats a fab bit of fake wood! What stocking are you looking atin the future?

Thanks I like the shape and angles the wood give the tank. That is the big Q of the day. I am so picky at getting things right. The stocking is hard. I know I want to fill all levels some top middle and bottem . I like color and movement. I like groups of fish. I would like 1 or 2 center peice fish and then the fillers. I have two Zebras I need to add more to and wanted to add to the bigger tank. I know they like the top more. I am looking for a community tank. I m not real plants ye t ( to new ) But maybe over time add a few easy ones that are hardy. I am scared on how to clean tanks with real plants. I know the fake I can at least take out and hurt them while celan gravel and stuff..

Thats understandable! I wish that this range of plastic plants existed when I was a beginner! :)

I think you have made some sensible decisions.

As for your community, thats usually dictated by flow/decor/compatability/temperature/size (not neccessarily in that order! ;p ).

Your going to have a school of danios (you can mix leopards and zebras if you like).

These are fast, curious, sometimes boistrous fish that love to investigate! So best to pick tankmates that don't get grumpy!

As for the bottom, you may be tempted to get the little corydoras catfish (whichever species is available), if you do (or any other bottomdwelling loach/catfish really, you may whishto consider changing from gravel to sand or very fine pea gravel.

For mid range fish, the world is your oyster really! Platies are a good hardy choice, I would perhpas avoid guppies as (in my own experience) these never seem to last long with danios (I think all the swimming wheres them out!

Anyway, thats loads of random info, I look forward to your tank progressing!

Ohhh I new someone was going to say that to me about going all sand. Just after i got this set up LOL That is why I put a small patch of sand. I could add a bit mor and take out some gravel I guess at some point. Isnt it easier for them to eat or clean up with sand? Not all plants are plastic. They are a silk kinda of plant aswell. easier on the fish if they rub up on them and flow in tank more natural. But yes some are plastic.

Thanks for the info. every bit helps .
