New 47g Uk Tank Help

Ok, so my girlfriends grandads shark just died, it was the solitary member of his 47 gal tank, now he is selling me the tank for 30 quid, ready to go and everything, just needs water and ornaments ect.
this is my 2nd tank and i was looking into an african chilid setup.
does anyone have any suggestions as to what i could put into this size tank.

lol - I wasn't sure as the tank's volume was in gallons

Sorry, me again - so the tank's about 200 litres if I'm right.

If you want to go with an African Cichlid setup, then you won't really want anything in the way of ornaments etc as such - they tend to like a rock/stone setup which has lots of hiding places/caves - i.e. stacking lava rock, boulders, large stones, ocean rock. Also, African Cichlids should be overstocked to reduce bullying/dominant fish, so you therefore could probably do with a decent external filter as they're also quite messy. Check out the Malawi Keepers forum that I mentioned above and you'll get a very good idea of tank setups etc (obviously these are African Malawi's, there are lots of different types out there - this is just from my current (and still learning) knowledge of these fish).
