Here are some pics of my 3ft, which I set up today. It replaced my 20G which was running for years.
Filter sponges where put into a bucket of tank water, with heater and air pump.
Here are the steps..

I'll be looking for another sort of cave tomorrow. Will also be getting some Crypts to place around the wood and rocks.
Vallis will be placed at the back of the tank.....oh, that reminds me, I'm also getting a black background.

Stocking
1 Tbar Cichlid
1 Port Acara
2 Female Bristlenose Plecs
2 Tiger barbs (i did have 6, but over time they've passed on. Suprisingly, these guys are not aggressive at all)
1 Red-Tailed Black Shark

When he's grown a bit more, the Senegal Bichir will be added to this tank.

Cheers.

Looking absolutely fab!

Happy fish!

Love the layout! I just found some good sized green MTS in a tank... with no live plants in there, but max seems to think they aren't MTS.
Dunno.

Anyway. Love the tank!

looking good buddy,,,got any close ups of the port and tbar?

Hey, thanks.
I'll get some tomorrow. :)
The Port was actually chasing the Tbar around quite a bit today. Im sure it will settle down once they get their own areas.

Nice tank really looking gr8. I like the pic when dropping the fish down.

Lovely tank, I especially like the wood. Can't wait to see what it looks like fully planted. :good:

Great scape and great fish, will look great with crypts.
Keep us posted :good:
...If you want I do have quite a few crypts (becketii and wendtii), vallis, and a few anubias barteri eyes which i'll sell at a fair price :good: Just pm.
