New 29 Gallon Tank With One Male Yellow Cichlid

i'm not new at fishkeeping, but i was wondering what brightly colored less expensive larger more aggressive fish you all would recommend to put in with this guy. i got him from my boyfriend's brother who has a cichlid tank. he has two yellow males & the other one chases this one around so we're taking him to make sure he doesn't die. he's not really aggressive but i know that could change in a new tank. i really want peacocks & firemouths which is what he has with his yellow cichlids & they all get along, but i'm wondering if there's a better choice ?

Try to build your tank around your water conditions more than anything... do you know what sort of PH and hardness the water is?

And the first fish I'd add personally would be another yellow lab (Neolamprologus leleupi) if that's what you have. If however, the fish is a Labidochromis caeruleus then i'd say the tank is too small...
