New 200L 4Ft Upgrade On Layby

I have put a 200L 4ft tank setup on layby (some people may remember me asking if it was a good deal). It comes with the hood, lighting, stand/cabinet, external canister filter and heater. Some warrentys still apply. I get discounts on a few things when I go in to buy stuff for the setup as well (and I'm a reguarly lately so I may even get them to know a bit more off the price).

Basically the plan is to house my BGK and start a Discus tank. I am scared to keep Discus though as I know you have to be extra particular about the water. I am pretty vigilent with water changes on my two tanks, gravel cleans, the lot.

I'm wondering what sort of stocking list I could be looking at? I'd like to put an Angel or two in there, although this isn't a must. For decoration I'd be looking at sand substrate (although I'm not definate on this as I like the ease of cleaning my gravel offers). A few nice big pieces of wood and/or rock features to make caves and the like along with live plants (suggestions welcome on the species here).

I'm in the process of uploading a pic of the tank so any suggestions in the mean time are welcome Please keep in mind I live in Australia and many species are hard to come by

Here we are. It's a bowfront obviously. The background will be going and I'll replace it with something else, not sure what else. And it needs a clean May also be painting cabinet and hood black as I prefer black but that's if I can find appropriate paint.

I don't think it's big enough for a BGK. As I understand they get to about 1 foot. The tank is fine for discus. They prefer soft, acidic water. Check your water parameter first. Some people would advocate using RO water.

He'll need a bigger tank but it'll certainly be better than the little 2fter he's in now Still not ideal. I'm pretty sure our tank water is neutral to slightly acidic but I'm not sure of the hardness, will check this Any ideas for other occupants?
