I just got a new 125 gallon tank
I plan on stocking it with African Cichlids. I was wondering would the following selection of fish work in a 125 Gallon tank:
1xCyphotilapia Frontosa (Frontosa)
1xCrytocara Moori (Blue Dolphin)
6xHaplochromis Zebra Obliquidens
6xLabidochromis Caeruleus (Yellow Labs)
6xPseudotrophus sp. Acei (Yellow tail Acei)
2xBristlenose Pleco
I will be using 120 pounds of aragonite for the substrate. I have two 3608 eheim heaters to take care of the heating needs of the tank. I have not purchased any filtering method for the tank yet and I am open to any suggestions that would work well with the tank set up I have in mind. I currently have a 75 gallon Oscar tank that contains 1 Tiger Oscar and 3 Silver Dollars. I use 2 Emperor 400 HOB filters for that tank and they seem to be doing a very good job, with the added bonus that they are very easy to maintain. I have read, however, for the tank size I have that HOB filters would not be a very good option. Thanks for your help.
