The first and last one are actually of the same fish   They will be 3months old this Friday so anytime after that should be fine :good:

Netty, how old are they now...and if you don't mind-- how big (length wise head to tail...)? Just want to compare since my spawn's growing, and I don't know if they're at a normal rate! TY!

They will be 12 weeks this Friday and are 3cm or an inch and a quarter from head to end of tail. The guys seem to have grown quicker than the first lot but are still not huge like the ones you see on aquabid that are only 3-4 months old.

i am begining to have my doubts about th true ages of bettas on aquabid.....haveing 2 succsful frys and seeing the groth rates i just cant believe that some of them are only 3 months,, my second spawn is growing much faster then the first , but both the parents of the second spawn are bigger fish anyway.

It does make you wonder doesn't it......either that or they are feeding them something that accelerates their growth!!!

Is pic number 6 a boy or a girl? I like

He's a boy and probably one that we're gonna keep to get F2s from.....he's is a stunning boy and has Dad's colouring

wow they look great, what did you feed em in ther first month?

Thanks.....the first week they were fed microworm and crushed betta starter. When they were a week old we started feeding them baby brine shrimp 3 times a day and occasionally betta starter.

That one is really sweet Jamie......quite a shy little thing!!!!
