Netting Platies

Hi, been a while since my last visit. What has happened in the last month is an explosion of platy babies. My tank will now be overstocked. I have counted 18 fry.
How on earth do I catch my female platy?? I have tried numerous times and different methods and its impossible.
1. Tried chasing her round the tank with my net- failed.
2. Bought a 2nd net- failed.
3. Reduced the water level to 10-20% left in tank- failed

Please advise as I do not want anymore fry.

Two nets of ~6x4 inches should work, use one as the sheep dog and one as the gate.

Perhaps while she's feeding?  I've caught some slippery platies that way.
Whenever I buy live food I put them in the net and dangle it in the water.  My female platies swim right into the net to gorge themselves on the food.

What are you going to do with her once you catch her?

Going to take her back to our LFS. They said they would take fish back but they couldn't give us anything in return.
