Dang... Neon Tetras are soooooooo dang vulnerable to every little bug/fungus/icky yuck out there.. I swear! they are the most pathetic little fish that ever was sold in a store!. Ive NEVER had a healthy bunch for more than a few hours at best. *bangs his head on the table* (< to expensive to bang head on fish tank and it would scare the fish) Ive had my tank going for 2 years now and only lost 4 fish so far. 2 of them being neons!. And that whole dang time.. its been a fight to keep them 4 remaining neons swiming.. arrrrg! :X

The strange thing is... the other fish have all been healthy and happy the whole time. Pleco's, black skirts, molly's..

 hmmm... wonder if the other fish are experimenting on the teras... hmmm....

sorry for the rant.. :dunno: i just had to shout at the world a bit there. im better now.

 sounnds strange as i keep neons and they seem to be the most hardy fish i have ... maybe its the quality of the neons from the shop? :/

 I know how you feel! Usually, my neon tetras are healthy and hardy but things go wrong once in a while. In the beginning, some of my neons had gotton sucked up into the filter so I had to add a peice of net around the tube. It helped a little, but they still got caught in the suction of the filter. I had enough! I bough a plastic ball made for bird toys, and attached it to the filter pipe. I have to say, it helps and so far I lost no more neons to the filter. Try buying your neons from a different store.
