Neon Tetra Stuck In Filter

hi all my neon has just got stuck in the filter intake and has lost his tail, he cant swim so i have removed him from the tank, he just moves his front half when he tries to move, he wont eat and i am very worried about what i can do for him,

ppl use clove oil but putting in ice cold water for a couple of mins should do it it's always horrible when fish are injured or die but sometimes it's just better for the fish 2 be put out of his misery

he is now only moving a little bit, not as much as before. my wife dont want me to do it but i think its about time to put him to sleep.
