Neon Tetra Death And Behaviour

hi shoal of 6 neon tetras. found 1 right out of the blue on the bottom dead just. also notice another darting almost in same place not freely swimming with the others. eating ok just like rest but have noticed this behaviour before shortly before losing one. its got quite a fat belly to. any ideas. added 3 tiger barbs recently and 3 glowlight tetras and the tiger barbs are keeping themselves to themselves no sign of bullying

Your nitrate is slighlty high, i would reccomend a 50% water change, then test the water again. Also how long has your tank been cycled?

his nitrates are fine! levels of 400 have been shown to be safe!

my bets on the PH 8.2 is WAY to high...do you have any stones or crushed coral substrates in your tank

yes theres 2 plants with wood and three plants potted. also some stones as a decoration over the airstone. no crushed coral

no fizzing . its had a ph of that for a while . i put the light to be on 14:00 till 22:00 is that ok

yes, and then do one with water conditioner, but only use the recommended dose!

take a handful of substrate out of your tank, place it in a cup and pour vinegar over it
