Hengisbury head,caught alot of wrasse aswell but this was the one i liked the best

Second trip all nighter last night at chesil beach
this is my first dog fish, they are beautiful

some eels

whitings lots of these

another dog,had a little bleed,wasnt bad

When i went snorkeling in egypt they called scorpion fish devil fish. Does it look like one of these scorpion fish if it is one of them they said there extremely poisonous and will put you in hospital for weeks if you touch the spines.

Looks like it. I saw a sandy coloured one when i was snorkeling You can barely see them then you just see a huge mouth open up.

Hehe yeah,ive never seen them or the dog before,only been sea fishing a couple of times, when i caught the dog yesterday i wasnt concentrating, The rest were bringing in whiting left right and centre,all i was doing was catching there lines, first i caught my brother inlaws bro's line, then got his wifes, then the bloke down the beach,we reeled in,realised we were caught,then there was a whiting,i thought yay its mine,lol,nope it was his, so by this time i was a bit peeved.lol so cast out, then lay down on the shingle to watch some shooting stars which were still ongoing, then about 20mins and rob wobbled so i snagged it,started to reel in,paused and nothing,thought ok i'll bring it in and cast again, suddenly out popped the dog,as big as it was i did not actually know it was on the line,didnt put up a fight at all,lol..i was like a cat that got the cream,..

Haha Thats a nice fish. there one fish i would like to catch. Ive never really done that much sea fishing ive caught bass, mackerel and cod but thats it and none where that big. I mainly course fish for pike and carp

I love pikes they are stunning,used to river fish as a kid, caught lots of pikes/eels/tench /rudd /roach /gudgoen/zander in the mouth to the ocean

Pike are my favourite fish to catch by far. My biggest is 19LB And like your fish it was just a dead weight i though i had snagged a bit of wood until it got to a few feet away and its jumped about 1foot out the water and bolted off. I catch quite a few perch and eels aswell i had a 8lb eel and a 3lb perch last year. Ive never caught a zander i dont think there are any around here. I love tench there second to pike i had a 10lb monster a few years ago The fight in thems amazing i thought it was a huge carp to start with.

Those tarpon are amazing,saw a photo thread the other day on another forum, they are exstremely hard to catch are'nt they,there mouths are like bone?

30lb bet that put up a fight. I was watching a fishing programme where they had one that was over 150lb they said there the hardest fighting fresh water fish.

also caught a few barracuda, and dropped one on my aunt on accident

Sorry i meant saltwater. arapaima are supposed to be the hardest fighting freshwater fish. I saw a huge barracuda when i was in Egypt its teeth must have been 2cm long it swam right infront of me.
