Nothing if you don't want it too. It's just here we don't have betta cups. Ours tend to be in tanks with other compatible fish and our females are in a sority tank.

It's only occasionally you see a betta in a less than perfect situation.

i do agree with you there

are pets at home keep them with tetras, my new lfs keeps them with tetras also females were all together

but in a few of the bigger ones you get them in 3 x 3 cubes
 
Thats bad. Do we have any laws over here about how a fish should be kept?
I've only seen bettas in a 5cm squared vase near me in about 1cm of dirty water. So I reported them to the local council and the are sending someone out! Hopefully a result!
 
hes a bit of a noob if you ask me got all frustrated cos i told him there was few dead fish in his tanks well alot of dead fish have not been in there for a while is his tanks all full of algae and dead fish
