Need To Increase The Ph Asap

Need to know if there is anything I can put in the water to increase the PH (make it less acid) can't get to the fish shops for a while so is there likely to be anything in the kitchen cupboards??

What is the ph of the water? As long as its stable then most fish will accept it. Knowing your kh and gh will help as well.
Bicarbonate of soda is a good way to raise the kh of your tank so buffering up the ph, but it has to be done really slowly and best done in a bucket of water first over 24 hours to make sure you get it right.
