I now have permission to REPLACE my tank with a BIGGER one!!!

A nice 5 footer I thijnk....

I got there at 10.15 and they'd all gone anyway!! Grr..
SO......if you replace your one ,you'll have a tank for sale? *rubs chin thoughtfully...*

It will be the 180...when I can find a nice big replacement...of course if I cant convince her to keep it, which is very doubtful

One time long ago my wife said no more tanks. I came home with seven 150 gallon tubs. Haven't heard no more tanks in a long time.

Try to get her involved in the hobby, she's welcome here even if she just watches fish. Look for a local club, once I got my wife involved with that it was all good, as clubs are half fish, half socialization & goofing off.

I find the pre-emptive strike always works well on mine but requires patience:

'I bought you this (delete as appropriate) pair of shoes/handbag/dress or (for a really big tank) piece of jewellery! with ABSOLUTELY no ulterior motive.'

'ok what do you want?'

'Nothing! honestly it is just a romantic and unprovoked gesture!'

wait at least 3 weeks before hitting her with the request for a new tank.
