I posted this in the newbie section, but thought it should go here as well.
I apologize for having to put this question here, but the Hardware forum is the only forum in which I can not post. I live in a building in which there are infrequent power outages. These outages can last 5 minutes to 5 hours. I am afraid that in the event of an outage my canister filter will overflow and flood my apartment. Are there any devices I can purchase/make that will stop the flow of water once the power is off.
