Need Some Help Deciding

recently moved house, and during the move i lost my beloved oscar, Bo... those of you that know me will know all about him and how much i loved the bugga!!
anyway, out of frustration at losing him, i dumped all my tanks.. never to keep fish again

.... yes, again, those that know me will know whats coming next

its a Rio 180

dunno what to do with it tho

, saltwater, fresh... i want a fish thats gonna win my heart. when i walk into the lounge hes gonna be excited to see me.. sadly its not the size of tank that i would have liked.. but theres not a lot going locally. so for the time being its a 180..

theres not much in the way of LFS locally BUT i happen to know that Direct Tropicals are in the same town, not a 10 min drive away

.MHA is just on the outskirts,and i know they sell decent stock as i had my sev from them last year

so any ideas?

More realistic tho,can never go wrong with Oscars,evil nasty buggers,but so loveable!

not sure how big a 180 is but what about a puffer of some kind to fit the tank? they have personality like an oscar?

as for the nemo tank.. i just ripped down a reef that i had 2 clowns, and they were nasty lil buggers!! i hated those fish!!! never ever again.. proper little nutters they were

how bout a simple marine fish only with a marine puffer in and if you can fit it in a snowflake eeel, wouldn;t be too hard to keep stats level, again I'm not sure on dimensions of tank

Sorry to hear about Bo I hate the prospect of moving but I want a bigger tank lols

I really like the idea of a puffer tank you could do a trio of south american puffers in there and in that size tank a small "community" around them could work with fast fish like big tetras etc. SAPs are usually the most comm freindly smaller puffer but the community needs to be done intelligently I know your upto it though

South American Puffers are great, and as they are freshwater there isnt the fuss you get with saltwater changes etc. Wildwoods often have them in

I also have to say puffer fish. I've never had one before, but I really like the way their eyes wiggle around and they seem so eager to watch you when you're in a pet store. Plus their tough. The one at walmart, housed with parrot cichlids, was standing his ground with the parrots even though he was the only puffer left and he was outnumbered by ten. Seems to be a spunky fish and they're cute!

South American puffers, Colomesus Assellus would be a great idea, much bigger than pygmy puffers but dont get huge and you can keep them with other fish, so long as they are well fed, they arent nippers

I kept one with discus, angels (adults), clown loach and corys etc...

yeah! the bad boy fish really appeal to me

ive measured the tank and it seems to be 205 litres ( rio 180).. either that or im having one of those days.. again!! did juwel make there tanks bigger recently?
