Need some adive

Im restocking my 55gallon. But i dont know what to get! Im thinking an oscar will be cool does anyone have any other suggestions?

A 55 gallon is the absolute minimum for one oscar I believe but that may be the ONLY think you can have in the 55 gallon.

i think even a 55gal is too small for an oscar, correct me if im wrong.

It really depends on what fish you want you can have a big community tank,

malawi or tang cichlid tanks. you can have more fish if you go with community

tank tho, you wont be able to have as much if you went with the cichlids.

i wouldnt do an oscar.
put a senegal bichir in there!!!!!!
i love my 55 gal stock setup, 1 senegal bichir, 1 PSG, 1 firemouth cichlid, 2 geophagus surnamensis, 1 spotted rapheal catfish, 1 rapheal like catfish, 3 ornate rainbow fish.
im really happy with my 55 gal, i may just get some more rainbow fish, but the senegal keeps eating them, so i dont think i will, and i may replace them with some sort of larger tetra. the rainbows cant go in any other tank because they would kill fish, or they would be killed. the 55 gal is the best place for them.

Yea, I think a single oscar should have 75 gallons but there are people who keep just an oscar in a 55 gallon and that is it.

A single oscar in a 55 is and has been ok, but thats it. Much more interesting to have other fish? IMO anyway.
