i noticed today in my betta tank what looked to be snails, but am not sure since i do not have parents, and my plants are fake,if they are are they harmful to my fish, how can i feed them, and when i change my tank how can i save them

i dont know what they eat
they wont be harmful
and watch out because some trpes of snail multiply fast and you will be over run with them

this is the best pic i can come up with,it's the tiny brown spot a little lower then the thermometer

Looks like some sort of small snail... at that size it will be eating the virtually invisible tiny forms of algae in the tank. When it gets a bit bigger it will eat any waste in teh tank. Be careful you don't end up overrun!

just a update on what they was,yes they where baby snails but unfortunately,i got rid of them thinking they was something else,i only found out after i got rid of them what they where, and they multiply fast i saw 2 then 4 then when i got rid of them i saw 7,i might go get a apple snail at my local pet store
