I'm planning on getting a fresh water planted aquarium and was wondering what size tank would be suitable for around:
8 cardinal tetras
8 rummy nose tetras
And after a few months, 2 German blue rams

Thanks :)

I'd say 30 gallons would be suitable.
I wouldn't recommend GBR's though if your new to fishkeeping though as they are very delicate fish. Bolivian rams would be a much safer alternative.

Yeah i 30 gallon tank should be the right size, but i was wondering have to thought about any bottom dwelling fish like corys, coolie loach or shrimp.

Thank, I'll look at Bolivian rams instead and I quite like cories, maybe panda cories. How many would you say should be kept together?

I say a group a group of 5 should fit into your tank comfortably aswell

I'd be getting closer to 7-8 if it was me. They'd have nice school then. :)

yeah i was just wondering if more would be overstocked so i said 5 so the tank does not be over stocked but talltree01 knows more and i think you should get 7-8 cories

Get 8, not 7.
Odd numbers are irritating

I've heard sooo much controversy on this.

Some people reckon that odd numbers look better.

Some people don't give a darn.

There's not really any difference as far as the fish are concerned. I just hate odd numbers
