Need Help With Next Project

Hi all, I'll shortly be moving house and will have space for another tank, either a 2 or 3 foot (and 2 foot tall if I can get it)

I have taken a long time looking through biotopes etc. and really love the 'roots' idea, but didn't necessarily like the darkened aspect.

The pictured scene though, is amazing! How might you recreate this?

Mainly - the wood, it has to be long and thin... and the carpet, various mosses perhaps? don't want to mess about with riccea.

Your help massively appreciated!!!

I'll be purchasing the tank around the 04th June.

The roots like of remind me of thin limbs from a tree or could be very young mangrove trees you could recreate them with a bit of colored paste and thin tubing as for the carpet I don't know ...
