Need help immediately

My tank mini cycled cause of a power outage it's been 2 weeks ive been doing 50% water changes did one this morning and tested had. . 5 ammonium, ph 7.1 temp 76, no nitrite and no nitrate. I can home 9 hours later had 1.0ppm ammonia and.. 5 nitrite, and 5ppm nitrate, one of my dawf gouramis was acting funny that why I tested, now that hours later I lost the dawrf gourami did a 60%water change, the rest og the fish seem find a little stressed is there anything else I can do, it's a 55 gallon tank with 3 gouramis 6guppies 6 Corey's 2 platies4 mollies a chocolate pleco and 6 snails,

I would say continue with water changes but increase to at least 75% daily since you are now doing a fish-in cycle. Keep ammonia below .5 if possible via water changes. You may need to do more than one water change daily. How long was the power off?

It was out for 3 days I have a aqua fluval 70 on it was running an air stone too, after the outage put in a sponge filter in, I've been testing twice a day and use the correct amount of prime with the daily water changes, just upset lost a little guy, just don't wanna lose more, don't know if I did something wrong water was right temp going in too. Sorry a little scattered brain

Keep testing water every several hours. Just continue very large water changes to keep ammonia under .5. It sounds like you’re getting there with increasing nitrites and nitrates.

Okay thanks I'm just trying not to lose anymore fishes, I just test.. 25 ammonia very little nitrites almost the sky blue but darker a bit and 5 nitrates

Thanks guys for help, another forum said not post anymore updates cause its not a question . Just check my numbers and now I'm at. 25 ammonia.. 25 nitrites and 5ppm nitrate so I'll do another wc of 30% now.

Do 50%. That will cut your numbers in half.

Yes. If your ammonia stays at .25 you may have ammonium in your water instead of ammonia. Ammonium is not harmful to fish. You can order a Seachem ammonia alert for less than $10 to hang in front of your tank. If you test .25ppm and it shows 0 then it is ammonium. My city water has ammonium and my water always tests at .25ppm ammonia. I use the alerts on my tanks. They never show ammonia.

Sounds like a good plan. It is always to have a backup plan. Believe me! I speak from experience.

So 12 hours ago I did a 50% wc and in had. 25 ammonia and. 25 nitrites and 5ppm nitrates. I just tested again 0 ammonia 0 nitrites, and it's not the bright yellow for zero just like a darker yellow not orange for nitrates, did I make it through the cycle? I do have 6 plants in my tank pothos on the hob, a couple of swords and some others could they ate the nitrates up?

Just checked again, I feed the little buggers after last test been six hours same.reslut, I'll. Check later, I been use api master kit and test strips to double check all tests
