Need Help Identifying A Cichlid.

So i have seen a couple of these around, but only got one today. This one was thrown in an assorted cichlid tank at the store and i got it for a couple of quid. When i asked what it was the shop keep advised that he didnt know.

I bet one of you guys knows though!!!

If it helps the stripes completely dissapear when scared.

You could be right, i know you cant tell from the picture but it is very thin, i thought buttikoferi which is african i think, but the mouths are different.

Upon second thought, i don't think its that either...

I think it's African just because of the spotted fin patterning on top...try posting the same question in the old world section in case

Looks like a cross between a Kenyi and something else. African though

Doesen't look Mbuna to me at all, its the wrong shape, i think it could be something Tanganyikan

Near enough exactly the same shape a little less courlouring and red all under it's mouth going down to it's belly and that's mine 1 min I'll get a pic of mine
