If you intend on keeping goldfish other then in a pond,for 1 goldie you'll need at least 20 gal tank,then 30 gal upwards for 2 or more...
You could do with a liquid test kit to test your water stats for ammonia,nitrite,nitrate & ph just to see if its your water quality.
