Need A Lil Advice

ok, i have a 20 gallen tank i am settign up, it has everything in it expept fish, filters, heaters, gravel, ornaments plants etc. well i have 7 guppy in a small tank whick i need to move in to this bigger tank asap, but the nitrite level is 0.1 and had been for many days now. any advice on how to lower it ? quickly? it has only been set up for 8 days, i no this is not long but these fish need rehoming, there so cramped. help please anyone

do a water change about 40% and add water conditioner to reduce nitrate, it too early to transport guppy into it and it needs to be a lot longer before you do. you have a high chance of loosing them if you do
 
You could lower it chemically but most people on TFF tend not to recommend it....
I succesfully used SeaChem Prime which de-toxifys ammonia and nitrite but its hard to judge as in my case i got very odd readings high and low, even colours not on my tester chart. I may have just been lucky.
If its extremely desperate bear this in mind and try posting the query on emergency section?
If not regular water changes 20% daily should lower it soon enough.
And get your filter running!!
Hang on, if you have no filter in have you cycled the tank at all?

sorry i just read what i put and i made a mistake, i mean i have filters runign etc, it is a complete tank running exept fish.
