If it came down to the 'crunch', would you euthanase your fish, or if you don't have the heart, would your leave them to die a natural death?

I always let my fish die a natural death because once in a while a really sick fish will come around after a few weeks from doing water changes/ adding salt/ other.

My next purchase will be some clove oil........but only to keep for extreme cases!! While I hate to "kill" a fish......sometimes its for the benefit of the fish.i.e. they are not suffering anymore. In these circumstances,I believe it to be for the best!! :)

Id let it die. unless it was a big fish like an oscar (dont keep them tho) or a big pleco.

I had a red eye tetra that I had to put to sleep

I left him a few days - struggling to get of the bottom - But my mind was made up when he wasn't eating and the other fish were nipping him

I wrapped him in a tissue and the removed his heas - It was quick and painless

Someone mentioned overdose - What would you overdose them on??

and whats Clover oil??

Ever had toothache? Clove oil numbs the area til you can get to a dentist!! It is apparently the kindest way to euthanase a fish. :D
