Nanno Planted Tank - The Battle Plan

just put the bogwood and substrate into the tank and added water,

2nd mistake so far... i bought twice as much gravel as needed.

Waiting for water to clear then I will take Photos.

For the carpet I have now changed my mind to use HC... as i think it looks "neater"

Bit of an update... Got the tank " assembled" the other night.

Substrate is in, along with 3 "temporary" fast growing plants. No idea what they are really. But i have noticed a small amount of growth already in the right hand plant.

Also got two small fish to give the tank some ammonia to deal with. Will be doing 50% water changes every 3 days for the foreseeable future.

Fertiliser is arriving on Wednesday. which is Tropica PLant Nutrition 100ml.

Along with some zeolite to add as the last stage of filtration.

Ordered some plants...

Riccia FLuitans 5" x 5" carpet to go at the bottom level. Some HC to carpet the substrate around the top of the Log. And some Java moss to go on the log.

DIY CO2 bottles are ready, two x 750ml containers. I am reluctant to fill them though until I have the drop tester as I don't want to suffocate the fish. Am i being overcautious?
