i try to. some (like danios) are just too similair to name.

I only ever named my bettas and my cories.

The bettas were all named after alcohol or alcoholic drinks, and the cories, well.. I let the boyfriend name those. Starsky&Hutch were the panda cories. After that he wasn't allowed to name them anymore.

I try to also. I named one of my bettas after 2 months of having him but the other four are still un-named. I did barely receive those :p but I doubt I'll be naming them by myself. I just don't have an imagination.

Nah not really, I only really named one fish and that was my Tiger Oscar, his name was bolt, I had him fro two years before he out grew my 75g.

I name my bettas and my 2 angels have names. Other than that, nope, I am not imaginative enough.

LOL at littlefishie. Starsky & hutch are better than my husband picked. He named the 2 Mollies he picked Cheech & Chong, he said they were always swimming around like they were in a daze. Now my 8 year old has names for all of them, better imagination. Except the Plec, he is just Spot.

My Jack Dempsey's name is Bongo, my angelfish is named Spanky

and the bettas are named:

Sangha
Chike
Weebam
Bling
Kumar
Tyrone
Poof
Zooky
Ziazan
Kenai
Pokey
Boozer
Cheeko
Spirit
Scruffy

The only fish I don't name are my bottom feeders, and my guppy's :)

My Gold Nugget Plec gets called "Nugget", which is not exactly imaginative. That's the only fish that has ever come close to having a name though.

All my bettas are named. My first few guppies, too. But after the livebearers got too many, I don't name them anymore.

Just the bettas now, coz they are very distinct and unique from one another, and a lot of times there's something special about each that would easily suggest a name.
