I looked through the hitchhikers thread and couldn't find out what it was. It really just looks like fish fry, but were discovered in a snail breeding tank with no actual fish....

That's the best picture I could get. They have no color and are semi transparent. I have probably 5 or 10 of them. I imagine they came from my live plants, though all the plants that are in this tank came from my betta tank. They were in the betta tank about a month each..... Any idea?

Looks like a babby fish to me! :good:

Most likely a guppy, platy, molly or swordtail. Got any of those?

No fish in the tank, just snails! The plants came from a tank with a betta, shrimp and two endlerXguppy hybrids, although now the plants have been in the snail tank for about a month now... I really have no clue. They have definitely grown though. At first I just assumed they were some type of water bug or something, but now they look like fish!

guppy x endler babies for sure i would imagine :good:

But I'm not sure how they would have ended up in the snail tank... My endlers are downstairs in a completely different tank :/ I have also never seen babies in their tank and while one is surely a male, the other one has less color but still, no babies. So,I assume they are both males...

Got another picture...

Still not sure. EndlerXGuppies are livebearers, so its not like they would have laid eggs on the plants.

No, but the fry hide in plants and are so tiny when they're newborn they're very easy to miss.

They are definitely livebearer fry, there's no doubt about that whatsoever :)

I guess that's the only explanation! I have had them for months now, and am just surprised I haven't seen any in their five gallon.... My betta may be eating them to though. One endler has color and a big guppy tail, and the other is also colored but with a clear small tail. Hm.

Well. I guess I'll have a crap load of babies now! :) Thanks y'all!

I think the fry was on the plant when you took it out you fish tank and putted it in the snail tank :good:

So, here's a twist for you!

They are actually Giant Danios.

Somewhere along the line I must have moved some plants around or something. They are shaped just like em and are starting to develop some color!
Guess my group of 8 well now be a group of 10...

Well, that's a turn up for the books, isn't it?! So much for my 'they're definitely livebearer fry' statement!
