I hope that you have an extreamly large lake to house him in.
The Wells catfish is the largest freshwater fish in Europe!
I've seen reports of these cats approaching 200lb

Agreed. Not an aquarium fish.

when it gets mega big... conduct a scientific experiment.... in the way of letting it loose in the kiddies pool at your local swimming pool.... 8) see how many people it can eat

on a more serious note... thats one big fish... or will be one big fish...

EDIT

you know your board when

A Wells catfish in a fish tank? are you absolutely insane? I suggest you get your head checked and find a suitable home for that beast.... thats just a ridiculous fish to keep in the tank!

What on earth were you thinking when you bought it?

Ben

awww he's a cutie, there quite good looking at smaller sizes then.

Glad you'ved got a lovely big home lined up for him.

Feel free to get biten and post pictures of the wound

I have to say that is one fish i would not put in an aquarium i would say its only fair to release them both asap and im glad you have somewhere to put them, thats a lovely common carp though great condition, being a carp fisherman myself i have not caught one of those wells catfish but my mate hooked into one whilst fishing for carp and it was an absolute nightmare after going round an island we had to get the boat out (which leaked lol) after a long fight the catfish just decided to sit on the bottom of the lake and not move for a long time and then just screamed off through loads of snags and snapped him up all this in the dark was a nightmare :D they are very powerfull fish
