Hi
My Juwel 260 Vision is a little tired and has been the same for some time now .

Here it is
tank.JPG

So I was thinking maybe a change of decor -maybe change the big bogwood for some long spindly pieces that run from bottom left to top right, maybe try some floating riccia. My WPG is 2 and i use leaf zone - but sometimes it causes brown algae to grow on my rocky background.

Any input would be most valuable.

Thanks

I think it looks great - but I know what you mean, once it's been that way for a while you just need to start fiddling with it :)

Some ideas...

would the bogwood stand up maybe, so that you've got some height?

how about changing the gravel for some sand?

p.s. love the background too

biggest change for the least hassle you could make is take the background out and put a coloured one (blue) one ?

just a thought

Thanks. I think youre right with the height issue. It looks a little silly stood up, which is why i wanted to get some taller root/mangrove pieces.

I changed from sand as it only takes a day to look dirty and takes constant cleaning. The background does look nice now its worn in as such - when i first bought it, it was too clean and sterile. Now it has a hint of algae in the cracks and crevices which makes it look more mature and real.

Maybe im just getting itchy feet

Know what you mean about the sand - I had it in only a 30 litre tank and it drove me crazy, have got fine black gravel in both my Juwel Vision 180's.

Maybe im just getting itchy feet

That's it - like me you need a second "twin" Vision 260 to play with :hey:
