been a while since i showed my tank off and before it gets torn down i thought i would. It was my first attempt at a planted tank before i really got into it and become a memeber of a certain planted aquarium forum. :shifty:

so here are some pictures,

some of the stems such as the alternanthera have been shoved in the front to grow for my new set up. the substrate is inert pea gravel. :good:

as always C+C welcome.

6 gold barbs
3 harlequins
2 platies (quite young)
3 B.neons
4 normal (blue) neons
2 white clouds (will increase)
2 clown plecs
3 ottos (again will increase)
1 apple snail.

that looks spot on

I'm a big faan of vallis it looks in aquariums in my opinion

your harlequins are nice as well I have never kept them for some reason

:good:

it was my very first attempt so it look a bit crap!
i am setting up two tank atm a small 40L and a 240L. the tank in the pictures is a rekord 120. i havent even removed the juwel filter box, im soo lazy.

harelquins are amazing if you feed them well, they get a range of food: (mine are such a rich deep colour, i dont like the paler copper harleqins)
frozen bloodworn
fronzen daphnia
flake
veg pro flake
powdered bloodworm
crushed catfish pelets
tetra prima
all apart from the top two are crushed into a nice mix that i use. (a pinch a everyday or 2) frozen stuff goes in sun night along with 2 lumps of cucumber for the plecs and ottos and the snail. the fish also nibble that. :hyper:

vallis is excellent really easy to grow, i was having alage issues but i halfed my lighting down to 1WPG and it is going now. if i ripped the tank down now, i would love to turn it into a tank like 'harleqins heaven' by George farmer.

yeah, it caters for all the fish in there. good food helps keep fish healthy.
