I have plastic plants in mine cuz real ones dont last a week with my fish. I must say the silk ones look much more realistic then plastic... I may have to try that out!

I love it tho, looks great!

Hi Yes they do look good i wiil put them in my spare tank which i will use as a quarantine tank come breeding tank. Im going for real plants now because i think it will improve the tank conditions a bit worried about the pleco  he might start to uproot some Thanks Ivor

Hi, your tank looks very nice. The silk flowers look good too. Real ones are better IMO, for the reasons you said. I have a 11" Common Pleco and he hasn't uprooted any plants yet! He has only been in the tank 3 weeks so I might be speaking too soon. What I have done is left a bare stretch at the front of the tank so he can swim about without bumping into any plants. He does groom the plants, probably looking for algae. :) Your Pleco looks like mine, which is either a Common or a Sailfin. Mine does that bending the body thing too, even though he has plenty of room.

Hi
Thanks for the suggestion I will move some plants to give him a bit of room, but sadly if he is a common Pleco I will have to let him go. A friend of mine, where he works they have very big tanks over a 1000gallons I will give them him. I have taken some more photos of the tank now it’s planted and have bought 2 more platys to keep my other 1 company

This is a pic of the left side you can see the neons and the head and tail light fish.
Im having a bit of a problem at the moment and will start a new thread in the fish diseases i think its to do with nitrite its 0.50 at the moment and some of the fish are swiming oddly, Please add suggestions about the new tank im just off to start that new thread Thanks Ivor
