I'm so excited my 21 litre tank for my male betta has arrived. I've just gotta get some black sand and a heater and then I can fill it up and decorate then cycle. Then I can choose my boy. I'm torn between what I want. I think the white ones are stunning but then again should I go for a really colourful one?

Anyway as soon as it's set up I'll post some pics. I've wanted this for a while so it's really exciting for me. I'm gonna have him in there with 3 cory eventually.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. It's so hard to pick just one though. I've seen some stunning onge and reds too. I'm gon na go slow and make sure I get the one I really want.

In all honesty any colour will be great. I personally didn't see the appeal with bettas on the slightest, saw a gorgeous little guy on the shelf and knew he had to be mine!

So glad that you've finally got your tank Marie! I've got black substrate in with my white male. Looks super! My girls tank is pink and has pink gravel. That's not set up yet as they have to prove they can keep their room tidy!  Not sure about colours for that tank! Then I've another 20 litre tank to set up that has red substrate so I thought perhaps a red and black male for that tank?

Can't wait for you to get yours and upload lots of pics! :good: :D

What black gravel did you use? My girl is in a tank with pink gravel.

It's a very small and shiny black gravel that I bought in my lfs. They do it in all colours,- so my pink and my red gravel are the same type. It's £3.49 a bag and one bag is enough for the Fluval Chi and my other 20 litre tank. I've only ever used natural gravel in the past, so it's a big change for me having all this coloured stuff! My 260 litre tank is natural gravel still,- I wouldn't change that!
