My silly betta, Henry, is obsessed with his own reflection! I told him that being that vain was bound to get him in trouble eventually..
In all seriousness, I have Henry in a 2 gallon plastic tank and he can see his reflection in the sides! He goes nuts, flaring and trying to get to the "fish" in the reflection. I put a towel around the back and sides of the tank sometimes, because I am afraid he's going to wear himself out or bash his head against the side of the tank.
I've read before that they'll generally get used to seeing their reflection in the tank walls and get over it. Is that true? What have been your experiences regarding this? I've had him for a week, and he is still going after that reflection!
