Here's a couple of pics:

They're not very good, but I've never used a digi-cam in my life and this little guy is VERY fast. :p

I just tore up the tank he's in to remove a piece driftwood (that was attached to a slate base) that I wanted to put in my new 55g, so the tank is a mess. I'm replacing the gravel with sand this weekend, and buying a compact flourecent so I can plant it.

I'll try to get some better pics of him when I move him over to the 55g (it has black sand so that should bring out his colors more).

All photo tips are welcome!
I need tons of practice. :*)

I'm actually extremely impressed with your first photos!!  Nice work, better than I did at first, that's for sure. Anyways, now when do we get to see the bettas? :hyper: And croakers? :hyper: And and and. Oh, aaaaaand... beautiful fish. :p

*feeling smiley happy*

yeah, they are great photos for your first with a digicam!!! Stunning looking fish aswell!!

Thanks guys! :*)

I should probably say first "postable" pics. I decided to spare everyone the pics that look like I was trying to shoot the sun, instead of a plakat.

Julie - I'm having trouble getting good pics of my bettas. :/ Most are in "rounded" containers. Any tips on taking pics of those? :dunno: I'll work on getting some of the "critter keeper" and 2.5g bettas first. I'll definately try to get some croaker pics up. :D

OOooh yeah, rounded is tough. The only suggestion I have is to hold the camera at an angle to the bowl. That way you don't get just one big flash in the middle of every picture. There will still be a flash, but you'll be able to see the fish at least. :p

Just beautiful CC  Looks just like my two except for the fact I can never get good pictures of them :sly: :p Looks great :)

GO COMET!

I was waiting for this pictures! :D

I like ur little loach thats looking at the camera were u buy it?

Also those are very good for a first timer. My first ones were......

Anyways..........Very nice Pics I wanna see Bettas! (especially Plakats From Julie!)

Good Job!

Hey Comet , you finally got the digi-cam , good for you .

Your pics are great , BTW.

Good luck with the salvini , as they can be terrors , beautiful ones .

Julie - I wish I would have thought of the "photo-factor" when I was buying hoarding these rounded containers and vases from the thrift stores. I made an attempt to replace them (slowly) with critter-keepers, but failed. I bought about 5 of them, but then I ended up buying a few more bettas. It's a never-ending cycle. -_-

Sorrell - Thank you. :D I fell in love with these fish after I saw yours. I never see them in LFSs, so when I saw one, I was like :hyper: .

Joker - Thanks. :D That's a Yo-yo loach that I bought at Chicago Aquarium and pond (7.99 I think) last Feb. I only have one, but he lives with 2 zebras and 3 skunk loaches. I haven't seen any in a long time. I have a few betta pics I will try to get up after work tonight.

Lucky - Thanks. :D I've heard they can be pretty nasty, but he is with other NWs, so we'll see. I was told it should work out well, as long as I don't add a female. Right now, he's kinda skittish.
