This tank has always been a bit forgotten, but just lately i have spent a bit of time looking after it. I altered the gravel from some garish red and blue to a more natural colour. Then added some old bog wood that i had in the cupboard along with some rocks. Also added a few plants that i trimmed off the plants in my other tank which will hopefully grow and grow. There is a few issues with the stocking but i am trying to get this sorted asap. I need to lose the two Juvi Jade Eyed Cichlids but no one wants them. Can't bring myself to get rid of either my gourami pair or the balloon mollies. lol.

Anyway, here is a few pics...

That looks lovely I love the rock work oon either side goes really well with the wood

They are Brichardis not jade eyed cichlids on the understanding jade eyeds are Sajica I think. They can be nasty little so and sos!!

what do you plan on keeping in it if you make the changes to your stock?

No mate, the fairies are stopping. I have got two Jade eye Juvi's in there too which are obviously american not african hence the stocking. It is alot better now as alx off here collected a few fish from me at the weekend. I don't think the tank is overstocked but i'm not sure...

4 Fairy Cichlids
2 Dwarf Gourami's
3 Balloon Mollies
1 Swordtail (Male)
1 Platy (Male)
1 Ruby Shark
2 Bristlenoses (Male & Female)
1 Neon Tetra (The last surviving one from a shoal of 6 that had to be put in with my angels whilst we had a carpet fitted! )

There is also 2 Juvi Jade Eyed Cichlids in there but they will hopefully be getting rehomed.

I would obviously like to add some more neons to create a shoal. Am i overstocked?

Is that a plec I see hiding behind the heater in the first pic?

Loving your scape work :good:

Keith.

Thanks Keith. It is certainly a lot better than what it was like. Can anybody help me with the stocking levels? Am I over crowded or not?

Cheers.

They're the fairy cichlids mate, really nice fish. I got a group of 4 of them from a mate. They're very interesting to watch.
