So by the time I cleaned the tank and lots of efing and blinding as the background wouldn't go back on moved both external filters over and put all the sand and rocks and plants which I had and filled it let it settle for quite a few hours this is how it settled at gone midnight and added the fish and I'm waiting for my f.i.l to find his stupidly strong double sided sticky tape to put it back on

Air pump is a elite 802 running 2 air stones

Decor varied rocks
30kg of kids play sand
Varied plastic plants

Stock

4 wild guppies male
2 rainbow tetras
1 rummy nose tetra
1 unknown tetra

6 male sail fin mollies ( 2orange / 2silver / 1marble / 1Dalmatian )
12 female mollies ( 3black / 2 Dalmatian / 1 silver / 3 gold silver black / 1 grey / 1 orange black )

7 mollie fry ( 1 black / 6 orange black )

Future stock will have

Maximum of 10 platy fry as friend has had fry and not big enough tank for them
And possibly 8 -12 more guppies but fancy guppies

Had a little change around today and added the background pic surprisingly to me it's made a huge difference Changed a few plants around and instead of having a fixed net fry trap I've used some packaging polystyrene to keep it afloat and free moving so it helps the fry get used to the rest of the tank

But I'm still after at least another 30 plants as I want this to be heavily planted so if I do have more fry which I'm sure wont be long till 2 more of my females drop there will be loads of hiding places

a couple of latest pics

Yes that is a male Molly that is having a pop at a gourami double its size.

He's turned into the tank bully in the last couple weeks and none the wiser why ?? All the other males I have are quite peaceful.

I now have 9 Mickey Mouse platys about 40 fry from 3 months to 2 weeks old that are off to my lfs tomorrow and I'm hoping to be culling the Molly numbers and adding 4 more blue spotted female gourami and 1 male as I've fallen in love with them.

And I'm trying to find some big bits of bog wood that look like roots so I can hopefully change the scape for better

well ive got a slight little update.

ive pulled most of the rocks out, all my livebearers are gone and ive added some nice big bits of wood,

added a internal to help things along
