My Rams Have Spawned

Hi guys,

My rams have spawned on one of the leaves at the back of my tank and was wondering what to do next. Hope the picture works.

It depends on what you want to do.

Do you have another tank set up that you could transfer the eggs to? You could just remove the leaf which they have laid on and then go from there.
If you're not interested in that or can't find the space, just leave them be. Chances are if it's their first time, then the eggs might be eaten by one of the parents. As they gain experience though, they're pretty good on their own when it comes to defending the eggs.

ahh right i dont have another tank gave it away. what would you reccomend as in tank size filter and substrate/moss? Thanks for the feedback.

I'd get a childs tank from your LFS, maybe just a 15 litre or something? Sometimes come with a little filter, might need to buy a little heater. I'd use some water from your current tank if it is acidic, cause Rams like that.
As for substrate I'd use the smallest gravel you could find. Maybe add some plants in there and used newly hatched brine shrimp as a food source for when they are ready.

That's all the advice I could give. I wish my Rams would spawn!

Yeah i was thinking more along the lines of setting a tank up can use it as a quarrantine tank aswell. I only recently bought these two i was missold two males so i took them back and went to another store which hadnt had them before and he picked out these two which have only been in a week I was not expecting this at all. Im also trying to get hold of some java moss from ebay thats not going to happen till moda as they wont deliver after wednesday.
